Low is a decent, overlong mood piece, and somewhat out of place on an album full of upbeat song after upbeat song (excepting Country Feedback. Even darker moments like Losing My Religion have a propulsive energy to them).

Driver 8 is classic REM. Probably the second best song on Fables, and an all time great.

there was a pool hall the next town over that had a limited jukebox selection, and out of time was on there. i would always play 'low' whenever we went there. whenever i hear it now i'm transported back to those days. 'low' is going to lose this, so i'm voting for it for the memories.

edit: huh, it's tied. was not expecting that.

I just went to Youtube to listen to Low and the ad that played before the song was for Lowe's.
