Those are some cheap haircuts: I pay $55 (and that's a discount rate cuz he's a friend.)

So in other words, there's money to be made opening a Borics in Australia
$55 for a haircut is insane! I think the most I've paid is $35.Birds in Hell wrote: Those are some cheap haircuts: I pay $55 (and that's a discount rate cuz he's a friend.)
Do you go to your wife's salon?Birds in Hell wrote:Sure seems like it.Monkey_Driven wrote:Tipping is complicated.

No, though my wife doesn't go to a salon, an old friend from her hairdressing days does it for her. I can't remember how much she pays her.cutuphalfdead wrote:Do you go to your wife's salon?Birds in Hell wrote:Sure seems like it.Monkey_Driven wrote:Tipping is complicated.

Your barnet must be a thing of beauty. On second thought, that's probably standard for Aust capital cities now. Think I've paid 60odd once and 30quid was normal in London.Birds in Hell wrote:This is at a "good" hairdresser, mind you. I'd Say My Least Favorite Part About Being A Restroom Attendant Is Spending 8 Hours A Day In A Room Where People Defecatedoug rr wrote:One thing I DONT tip for: bathroom attendants

You know, for the most part, being a restroom attendant is a pretty sweet gig. The hours are reasonable, the pay is decent, and I don’t have some boss standing over my shoulder telling me what to do all the time. But if I had to think of one drawback, I’d probably say my least favorite part about this job is the fact that I spend eight hours out of the day in a room where people shit in a toilet.what if my stuff's all dinged up?Chris_H_2 wrote:You NEED to tip those guys. $20 per is pretty standard.spike wrote:oh shiii, tipping movers. is $20+ standard practice or is that something you picked up in NYC?doug rr wrote:$1-2 per drink at most places but a bit more at my local due to the freebies thrown my way..
