odd combination but sounds good
yeah...i had already intended on making chili cheese potatoes, but i went to the grocery store yesterday and saw the broccoli and cauliflower on sale...a few weeks ago i did roasted broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots cut up and marinated in italian dressing and it was pretty dang good
my chicken is marinating in italian dressing and orange juice
interesting
that sounds weird. i wonder if doug has done this marinade before.
makes for a very moist and juicy breast...just don't pour the remaining juice in the pan as it has too much sugars to burn and makes the pan harder to clean afterwards

Give me your spicy sauce recipe.
1 large can of Cento brand san marzano peeled tomatoes that I put in the blender...dont liquify it, leave it "rustic"
pour in to a large sauce pan
add 1/2 cup or bit more of red wine, I usually use chianti
finely chop fresh basil
finely chop fresh garlic
add a lot of red chili flakes

simmer on low for about 45 min or so stir occasionally

Great recipe, very similar to my own. I appreciate the nod to San Marzano -- it's the only canned tom I'll use. A little surprised by the cooking of the basil; I wonder if that's work better as a final raw garnish?
yeah I always finely chop the basil into the sauce but sometimes when making pasta I will put a little fresh basil on top..ii always use the recipe for pasta but always throw in some spicy sausage..and to trags point, once you use san marzano's you never go back to regular tomato puree

I used the Cento tomatoes in a curry the other day and could definitely taste the difference, the flavor level is night and day compared to American ones.

Nice. I usually grill or blacken Coho; I find I don't love the flavor as much as a King or Sockeye, so some aggressive flavoring works well. Whereas with the other two, I typically try to do something simpler...Cucumber tzatziki sounds like a good salmon condiment regardless of the variety.
i generally use sockeye or atlantic but this piece looked really good so I went for it..its a bit more mild in taste so it should go well with the spicy side dish
