Fallout 4 is $30 at Best Buy today; and COD: Ghosts is only $5.

Ah. I've never played a COD game, so I wasn't sure what he was getting at.

They really need third party support to gain any sort of traction in the console market.

Coming out with a legit console would go a long to gaining third party support but that's just like my limited opinion, man.
The Gamecube was a legitimate console and third parties did not support it. Nintendo does not have a good history if working well with third parties since the mid-90's.

Even if the new Nintendo console was more powerful than the PS4 and Xbox One they would still be playing catch up and likely finish third in sales.

Eh, it was semi legit. It was still a step down from the playstation 2 and xbox. Those damn miniDVDs that could only hold 1.5 GB of data compared to what 5 GB or so for the DVD optical disc the playstion 2 or xbox used was a huge issue with third party developers. I remember reading how it turned off developers.
It was more powerful than the PS2 and on par with the Xbox. I understand your point about the disc thing, but that sucker had some juice behind it. Nintendo realized they needed to change their approach if they were going to compete.

Yeah it was. Not arguing that. Still limited though. Hardware wise with the cpu, graphics, and RAM, it's great but that's why I commented on the storage capacity. It's a huge constraint and especially back at that time when compression technology was not what is now.

You have this awesome machine that can do some crazy shit with polygon count, aspect ratio and all that cool graphical shit but you can only put a small bit of data onto this little bitch disc? Well the better the graphics the more data you need and the gamecube cut itself off at its legs with the damn data storage system. It's similar to the N64 with the cartridge. It's been a huge issue for consoles and one that Nintendo has struggled with for years.

I grew up on Nintendo. Still pissed how they ran off third party developers like Square.

This is what I was afraid of...I've never played a COD game, but I have a sneaking suspicion I was ripped off on spending $30 on Fallout. It's fun in a let's-get-lost-and-explore-this-massive-world sort of way, but it's not FUN, you know?

COD games are fun if your idea of fun is getting spawn camped and screamed at by emotionally stunted man-boys. Fallout IS fun and don't listen to anyone that tells you otherwise. And it's a steal at $30.

COD has more things to do than multiplayer. And if you do play multiplayer, you can just mute people.
