Im worried about tomorrow being Binaural, Riot Act, Self Titled heavy....oh well
They play the hits every night.

I enjoy self titled too. A lot. But I don't want to hear them play their newer albums straight through and take up that much of the show with it

They're gonna do binaural tonight.

I wish I had a computer to post from. Th show was great. It was a safe set and t blew the roof off the dump. Agreed with dprival in his above statements. These guys don't mail it in live. They are older and Ed has voice issues but goddamn they play hard and well. Ament was bouncing all over the place.

Many more thoughts. Hopefully they stretch their wings a bit tonight. I'm sure they will

Going to a show is like waking up on Christmas morning and finding 35 presents under the tree just for you. 4 or 5 pairs of socks, but the other 30 gifts are just what you'd been dreaming of. I'm thinking night 2 will have more rare songs and be hailed for that, but this was the kind of set that a band could walk away forever after. So many 5 star songs.

Absolutely.

I just think playing Binaural all the way through will disappoint most of the crowd. Anything after yield would honestly.

Agreed, and even though I love the album, I really hope this doesn't happen tonight.

Better this than a 15 minute version of Betterman with Bruce guesting

Oh, please no. And, the jumbotron zeroing in on Chris Christie doing the Chubby Checker dance in the audience.

I welcome the idea of a Stipe guest appearance though.

Anyone know what time they went on stage last night? I know there's no opener for tonight, and the MSG site says 7:30.

You have terrible tastes though. No offense.

It really feels like everyone in that building is in the fan club. It's amazing how every song gets huge reactions. Lightning bolt blew the roof off that dump.

Binaural would be great.

Also Kelsey grammar is a member of the jamily. He was at the wish list party. Ol

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised at how well this song was at the shows I was at and also how well it was received. I'm really coming around to this one because of it. And MYM.

My seats were great. Amazing vantage point.

I loved the end and future days too. Ends voice sounded pretty great on future days. Off he goes was a nice surprise as well.

Indifference was terrible. No ambience or mood playing it like that. People were walking to the exits.

Indifference definitely seemed awkward. There was too long a pause after RITFW that I think most of the crowd thought that was it.

Being able to watch Ed work the crowd from
Seats behind the stage was great. I now get why he does what he does. It's not great to listen on the boots but good god does he gets that crowd in the palm of his hand. He really loves what he is doing. I actually enjoyed RITFW. Like - a lot

I think the crowd would go absolutely wild. It would be my top pick for the next album-in-sequence show. (Yes, I say this even with the fact I hate NaiS). What would be even more cool is if they threw in the outtakes from the album, as well.

The crowd is great but its the big hits from Ten, Vs, Vitalogy that get the best reactions, Jeremy, Black, Alive, Even Flow, Release, Why Go....always the biggest reactions. I cant see many people going crazy for EVACUAAAAAAAAAAATIOooooooooooooon.

Binaural was the hitless wonder for PJ, I agree it's not something for an MSG crowd.
