I liked the eye rolling 'do we have to be bothered with this shit' response of the police officer interviewed
Oxford Police Chief Bill Partridge said the law will be enforced like any other city ordinance, such as noise violations or public indecency.

"If somebody sees something that makes them uncomfortable, they would call the police," he was quoted by Al.com as saying. "If the person is still there when the officer arrives, the officer has to witness the crime. Then we take down the person's information, and the person who reported it has to sign out a warrant."

Possibly. I think that this:
If that determination is upheld, North Carolina could lose millions in federal school funding. During the current school year, state public schools received $861 million in federal funding.
will help them make up their mind though.

A post I saw somewhere else:
<DOJ> If you don't do this for us, you'll lose a billion dollars to your school system

<NC> Wow you just activated our trap card because we've been trying to gut the public school system for years. Next can you stop transferring any money for Medicaid or roads?
