It's pretty typical TV acting for 1960's drama. It's just a different style that was aimed for...I think a lot of early TV (comedy, for the most part, exempted) was like early film...extremely informed by theater. Eventually, as TV and movie directors and actors began to see that the close up and "in the moment" realism of their format allowed for more natural behavior, they in turn influenced theater acting to a less....theatrical....design.The sets aren't anything close to convincing and the acting sucks.
Most 1960's TV drama aged poorly. Star Trek is just maintained an infinitely larger presence in modern culture than its contemporaries.
