Am I the only one who thinks young Eddard Stark bares a striking resemblance to a youngish Neil Patrick Harris?

After Bran yelled to Ned and Ned responded, I am totally doubling down on my Hodor theory (which I'm going to take out of spoilers because, fuck it, it's not a spoiler): that Bran will cause Hodor to become Hodor by yelling "Hodor!" at young Willas in a vision.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Re: HBO: Game of Thrones (Song of Ice and Fire)
A lot of set up in this ep.
Still not thrilled at Bran's story but I do understand its purpose. It's a mix of the sorcerer's apprentice trope (learns to do stuff but will ultimately learn a hard lesson) and giving us crucial backstory.
Danys spot seems to be where she thrives--how will she break the chains this time.
The infusion of humor, however brief, was a nice touch in the Castle Black and Meeren scenes.
I'd totally forgotten about Rickon... so I guess somehow Jon regroups with at least Sansa and possibly Rickon?

I don't see Ramsay keeping Rickonroll alive as his presence only weakens his claim on the north. The only thing he may do is keep him as a bargaining chip if he thinks Jon is coming to winterfell

I thought that too. I guess the weather in the north can really do a number on the ol' complexion.spike wrote:that actor looked too young considering how old old ned looked in the show. but i get it.MitchCumstein wrote:Am I the only one who thinks young Eddard Stark bares a striking resemblance to a youngish Neil Patrick Harris?
Also, I'very seen other people bring this up online, but when they showed shaggydog's head I immediately thought it looked way too small. I get the feeling the Umbers have a plan...

I think this season is off to a pretty good start so far. I'm more interested in s6 so far than I was with s5.

Re: HBO: Game of Thrones (Song of Ice and Fire)
There are a number of theories among book readers having to do with conspiracies in the North (one is simply called "The Grand Northern Conspiracy"). But if Umber was planning to play Ramsay, I'm pretty sure he just would've bent the knee and stabbed him in the back (whether figuratively or literally) later. Handing over Rickon is getting-captured-by-Jabba-the-Hutt level convoluted.lowlight79 wrote:Could House umber be playing the bolton's? I jsut find it hard to believe they would side with the Boltons.

There's a theory among book readers that Bran is actually Rickon and Rickon is actually Bran, but no one has noticed.
