Hey guys remember when Billy Corgan had that hilarious blog where he talked about being Christian and how the members of Zwan are all a bunch of godless perverted drug addicts?

I don't really know if he called Mudhoney a cash grab. I just named off some grunge acts. I know he's specifically targeted Soundgarden, but I'm not sure whom else he's mentioned by name.
you sir are the Billy Corgan of this board by making such a statement.

The original statement or the one where I admitted that I had exaggerated?
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

This is when I finally realized he was not all there. Sure, he had always been somewhat of an egomaniac but this was on a whole new level. Since then he has done his best to maintain the same level of bizarre with his foray into amateur "pro wrestling" and horrible skits during live shows (having that one kid from the audience pretend to be his son etc.), and at this point he is little more than a joke.

Such a shame.

He took himself and his music seriously this last couple of years, i would say since 2010 till now.

And some of shows are really good.

More SP releases??
Billy must have caught on to the fact that his 90's teenage fanbase has grown up to be near-middle-aged white men with discretionary income who are willing to buy whatever he's selling.

There was a time when I clamored for any SP releases, now I'm almost turned-off by the amount of stuff he's peddling. I was a sucker for Pisces and MCIS reissues, but the Aeroplane reissue is almost too indulgent. It's pretty odd that a band reissues a b-sides/outtakes compilation when they're not even dead or anything. Did that make sense? I mean, it's not like it's Nirvana or Jimi Hendrix and digging through the old tapes is all the music we're ever going to hear from them.

I think you can make the very legitimate argument that the Billy Corgan who wrote those songs is dead. So in a sense, that's why I'm quite happy about how indulgent the reissues are. The Aeroplane Flies High box set has a live album of tracks from the MCIS tour. That alone is worth the price of the box. Then there's the Gravity demos (late-Siamese era intrumental demos of MCIS songs and tons of others, in pristine quality), as well as live tracks and rehearsals from February 1995 when they were demoing new material that ended up on MCIS and TAFH. Then there's the live DVD from July 1997, which was a strange era for the band as it doesn't really fit into the MCIS or Adore eras...it's a strange bridge between them.

So yeah, it's going to rock.

I love these reissues. But he could release one of them per year...maybe.

Anyway he is writing new material too, so...

I think he's contractually required to get them all out by the end of this year. It sounds crazy but he's mentioned that in several interviews.

Ah shoot, I forgot this came out today! I'm not going to be able to afford the vinyl until September, so I'm hoping it's not a super-limited run. I do, however, look forward to listening to the bonus material soon!
