Do rock radio stations still exist? All we have here is that neutered, folky singalong shit.

There's one here in Portland, it's decent. Though hearing Pearl Jam and Nirvana on the "classic rock" station is weird at times. But then I remember the bands are 20+ years old and then I remember I'm almost 40. ugh.

there are a few around here. up to a few years ago they were the type of stations that played all the hits from Zeppelin to AC/DC or GnR. but ever sense the "younger rock radio" station moved into the folky boy scout stompalongs and the 80s electropop dance-off-with-your-pants-off songs, those previous stations started adding things like Weezer, Spoon, etc that the younger stations stopped playing

The way I viewed the Doors in high school is the way my high school nephew views Pearl Jam now

Turn on the bright lights is almost 15 years old. It's one of my top 5 albums for sure. It's really a shame that Interpol never hit those heights again.

TOTBL is probably top 5 for me too. They definitely didn't make anything in that league again but I still adore the three albums they made next.

It seems like a lot of people our age consider TOTBL one of their favorites.

I liked the third album, but it was very different. I never listened to the next two. What are the best songs from them?

Antics is great. I don't really think it's far behind TOTBL.

I love their self-titled album. "Success", "Barricade", and "Try It On" are great.

El pintor sucks, though. They need Carlos D.
