Didn't see it there, but discnation had it, and i got a new bag and a towel which came to 49.50 or something, and free shipping on all orders over $49Fuck You Jobu wrote:http://www.marshallstreetdiscgolf.com/Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:Cool, thanks for the info, now i just have to find the Damn thing, play it again sports didn't have it on Sunday, but maybe they will have one tonightsherpahigh wrote:I think you'd do well to get something like the Xpress to play around with. In general the slower stuff is a lot easier to throw accurately. The faster stuff will likely get out farther, but they won't be near as accurate as the slower drivers.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:yet another disc i want to get, im looking at the discraft Xpress elite z, its got a 0.0 stability rating and im struggling right now to keep my nukeSS 1.0 from breaking too hard to the left at the end, it used to just slightly fade but now it probably breaks 50 feet to the left at the end and i dont have a lot of places where i can get away with that. so anyway, the Xpress isnt as long distance of a disc( its an extra long distance driver instead of a maximum distance driver) but i think if i can keep it a good bit straighter then it will help a lot more then the extra distance, and when i correct the problem( if it is just the way im throwing instead of a warped disc) and can go back to the nuke, the Xpress is supposed to be a good turn over disc, so would still be good to have.
anyone use the Xpress elite z ?
I use a disc called the Diamond for stuff I want to finish right, down wind shots, etc. I've never thrown the Xpress but from what I know they're a lot like a diamond.

Re: Disc Golf
Tough round, it started raining right as we started, and the brick tee boxes were slippery, so i struggled with all my tee shots, and we spent a ton of time searching the woods for discs, but we had a great time, and that's really all that matters.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if he ended up with that many discs, eventually. Doc likes to collect things. Lots of things!sherpahigh wrote:you better be careful, doc. plastic whoring's a slippery slope.

Re: Disc Golf
curious on how you guys feel about moving back from your disc a ways to give a better angle on a 2nd or 3rd throw? do you feel like you should have to throw from right behind where your first throw landed? all of us in the group i play in will deal with a large tree or somehting right in our way if that is where our first throw landed, but we have all wondered if moving back 10 or so feet would be against the "rules" ? it seems like it should but all we have ever been told is you have to throw from behind the spot your disc landed.

Re: Disc Golf
thats kinda what we had thought, but we are all fairly new to the game and didnt know how most did it, so we usually just stand in the tree or with it right in front of us if thats where our disc lands and see if we can find a way through or else just throw it somewhere sideways to the clearing. i do step back a foot or 2 if i need to to make sure my hand or arm doesnt go through a through a thorn bushcutuphalfdead wrote:10 feet is a bit excessive.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:curious on how you guys feel about moving back from your disc a ways to give a better angle on a 2nd or 3rd throw? do you feel like you should have to throw from right behind where your first throw landed? all of us in the group i play in will deal with a large tree or somehting right in our way if that is where our first throw landed, but we have all wondered if moving back 10 or so feet would be against the "rules" ? it seems like it should but all we have ever been told is you have to throw from behind the spot your disc landed.

Re: Disc Golf
I finished 3rd in my local handicap on Sunday.....my first disc golf $$$ winnings!
I've also come to realize that (if I had no fear of losing a disc) I could play most courses with a River driver, Buzzz midrange, and a putter.

Re: Disc Golf
I tried playing in the rain again today, and this time it really poured for a bit, i need to not try that anymore. Im sure most of it was because of the rain but i played terrible, probably somewhere around 20 - 25 over par, but i was slipping on the tee boxes and the discs were slipping out of my hand, so i did what i could with the conditions
