Bautista took a solid punch to the face from Roughned Odor to kick off a pretty serious brawl. http://screengrabber.deadspin.com/blue- ... 1776771655

OMG the crowd was chanting "U-S-A" after the fight. I love this.

That's my second favorite baseball brawl gif of all time, coming in after the time Pedro Martinez gently lowered an elderly man to the ground.

I guess Texas probably feels better after having their poor little feelings hurt last year.

An actual fight in a baseball game is right up there for my favorite things list.

It's pretty hard for anyone to ever top Nolan Ryan.

I somehow forgot about that one. It's pretty baller to beat the shit out of the guy who rushes the mound:

So today's is probably #3; the Pedro one just brings back so many memories.

Not a gif, but there's this great one from Japan where a pitcher runs away from the batter:

Odor's punch may be number one; he landed that thing squarely which never happens. Joey Bats took it like a champ too.

How many games does Odor get for that? It's not like there's a lot of precedent.

Gibbons will get a couple for coming back onto the field after being ejected.
Chavez will get a couple for hitting Fielder.
Bush should get something for hitting Bautista but probably won't.
Donaldson may get something depending on how badly he beat Odor. I really wish the camera hadn't cut away just as he tackled him.

If it were up to me, 5 for Odor and 2 for the other guys.

I just saw another replay and Donaldson didn't actually get a chance to do anything. Just as he grabbed Odor, four Rangers players piled on top of him. So... nothing for him.

As a Jays fan, watching Pillar and Donaldson go apeshit trying to get at Odor while being surrounded by 4+ Rangers each was both frustrating and amazing. Also, Russell Martin calling on the Rangers dugout after the Fielder HBP.

Didn't they ban those types of slides? What does Bautista get?

Bautista gets nothing because he didn't do anything that has ever resulted in a player getting suspended. Those slides don't result in suspensions, they result in an automatic double play. There are more egregious examples from this season alone in which the sliding player wasn't suspended.
