As a collection of songs, I don't think this is PJ's strongest album, but taken as whole piece, it is more than the sum of its parts. So much so that I could see this being my favorite PJ album, even though I've always been a Vs. guy.

It's definitely their richest album sonically. Every moment seems to be exploding with layers of sound, but carefully orchestrated and mixed so as to never become messy, convoluted, or busy. I feel like I'm always discovering some new nuance every time I listen.

No Code is a really great album that probably could have ended at Present Tense even if I do like Im Open and Around the Bend. Habit is kind of awful and I hate In My Tree, the rest is

I have to disagree, this song takes on a brand new energy live.
