I think I'll listen to it today. I haven't heard any pj this year.

As a collection of songs, I don't think this is PJ's strongest album, but taken as whole piece, it is more than the sum of its parts. So much so that I could see this being my favorite PJ album, even though I've always been a Vs. guy.

It's definitely their richest album sonically. Every moment seems to be exploding with layers of sound, but carefully orchestrated and mixed so as to never become messy, convoluted, or busy. I feel like I'm always discovering some new nuance every time I listen.

No Code is a really great album that probably could have ended at Present Tense even if I do like Im Open and Around the Bend. Habit is kind of awful and I hate In My Tree, the rest is

Oh man, the way the acoustic guitar sidles in around the 2:30 mark in "Present Tense"... :luv:

Present Tense is one bazillion percent better on the album than it is live. I love that album cut so much.

I have to disagree, this song takes on a brand new energy live. That ending while live is just soooooo good and intense.

You should hear the version Ed and Glen do. It's great.
