What movies are you watching?

I don't think the stories and characters are the problem. It's the attitude behind the films. It's the style. It's the striving for an aesthetic. And I'm not talking about the "fake indie" stuff, I'm talking the actual indie stuff everyone seems to love lately. It's boring as hell, and feels phony and labored to me.

Every indie film just needs to cast Scoot McNairy and they'll be fine

I, however, only listened to one episode. And it infuriated me no end. I got fucking MAD listening to it. But I would have listened to others had he ever done another one on a movie I'd actually seen. Listening to people talk about movies I haven't seen isn't all that interesting to me. So that made his podcast difficult.

I think I listened to 5 or 6 of them, but then they started wading into movies I hadn't seen, like what happened to Joey (except I enjoyed them). It's still on my iTunes feed, though.
