The problem in general is that coaching is vastly, epically overrated on the pro level everywhere. It's getting the right GM, to make the right decisions when you have the chance, having insanely motivated players and then, a coach who can get the best out of them.verb_to_trust wrote:D'Antoni would be a terrible hire for Houston if true. Really ultimately, teams that fail do so because they get talent acquisition wrong repeatedly. Fans often blame coaches when there's not much that can be done to make the talent better.
A big part of becoming a star in the NBA right now is simply putting in the work to be consistently excellent.
