I just read some threads on the official website message board. As someone who knows Fenway really well, it was amusing to see people struggle to interpret the seating chart and figure out where there seats are.

If anyone has any fenway seating questions, I can help.

If you are referring to the Pit, they couldn't figure out a seating chart if it was 20 seats.

Ha! That was the impression I got, but wasn't sure if it was just because I was familiar with the layout.

On Tuesday, people who bought grandstand tickets 500 feet from the stage believed they had bought front-row center tickets. That's all you need to know.

I got G29 obstructed view, does that mean I have field tickets hurr durr?

I was able to grab two tix in section 159 last Friday, and judging by the seating viewer thing, they appear pretty good. It'll be interesting to see how my ADA fanclub seats compare when I pick them up.

If anyone is still looking for a hotel, Kayak has the Hilton Back Bay for $240/night (my Hilton diamond discount price is $380). It's less a 15 minute walk to Fenway from there.

If you want some real advice: walk up Beacon St. a bit (towards Brookline) to get away from the park, crowds should be a bit smaller.

So much this. Head out of Kenmore and make your way towards Allston/Brookline. You'll be happier.

Another good option, if you're maybe looking for a scene that is less Jamilied, is Central Sq in Cambridge. You could pre-game at any number of places, cross the Mass Ave bridge on foot and be at Fenway in 30 mins. A cab to the show would be a piece of cake, then you could walk or take the T back to Central Sq.

I was going to try and push people to An Tua Nua, but I guess it's closed Brookline Tavern, maybe?

For those have been to a concert here... I read the sound is pretty awful but you are a little better up a level or so. That has me looking at the following sections: Outfield Grandstand 7/8/9 and Left Field Grand Stand 29/30ish. Any thoughts on these sections?

I've been using preciseseating to check obstructions as well.

I'm staying in Back Bay so I can walk to Fenway and anything in the area sounds good to me. What about Saturday night? Anything that is low key but still a decent time?
