I dont see it as boring, though I guess as a whole album it can be kind of repetitive - but I find the instrumentation very interesting. It creates a very cool vibe. I love things that have a kind of very full sound.

But you think Binaural and RA are PJ's worst albums.mikejasond wrote:I dont see it as boring, though I guess as a whole album it can be kind of repetitive - but I find the instrumentation very interesting. It creates a very cool vibe. I love things that have a kind of very full sound.

I dont see them as having very full sounds. Maybe Im thinking of the wrong terminology?LoathedVermin72 wrote:But you think Binaural and RA are PJ's worst albums.mikejasond wrote:I dont see it as boring, though I guess as a whole album it can be kind of repetitive - but I find the instrumentation very interesting. A lot of these Morisette songs have this....wave of sound. All the instruments working together to create this warm vibe that just surrounds you.

Now Im listening to the acoustic version of Jagged Little Pill in full. I think its so cool she did this.

This acoustic Jagged Little Pill is one of the coolest albums I ever heard. It must have been awesome if you actually knew the original album for ten years. Just revisiting each song with a different more mature take. Wow.

I think it's safe to write this thread off as a complete failure.

Re: RM Recommends Music to MJD
The concept of the album is/was fantastic. You're absolutely right. It was a great way to celebrate/relive the 10 year anniversary. It was fantastic to hear those songs stripped bare and retold. Absolutely.mikejasond wrote:This acoustic Jagged Little Pill is one of the coolest albums I ever heard. It must have been awesome if you actually knew the original album for ten years. If he found a new love/respect for Alanis Morissette, this thread was 100% worth it.
