He'd only have the balls to cover Jersey Girl, though.

I'd actually like to hear an in-his-prime Don Henley cover Rosey from Closing Time.

I actually don't hate their cover of Old 55. It's sugary sweet and glossy but it's also nostalgic as shit.

I like Billy Joel just fine. Gun to head, I'd say I like the Eagles more.

But, yeah, Billy Joel wrote some really classic tunes. And I'm not ashamed to admit that I listen to him from time to time. Not as much as I did before I turned 14, though.

Some awesome lesser known Billy Joel songs

On the Steely Dan-esque side:

On the ballad side:

Damn, this is good:

And of course can't get more of a badass piano intro then this one:

Of course my favorite might be Scenes from an italian restaurant, and maybe The Entertainer.

God Billy Joel is amazing sometimes.

Billy Joel has written many diverse songs, though he has a couple styles he is best in - I think holding him just to Piano Man and some of his ballads is doing him a big disservice. Though those songs are also great he has a lot more to offer, and I think people don't know how badass some of his songs are.

Of course some of his cheesier songs (Longest Time, River of Dreams(in the Middle of the night) ) are awesome too

I really love Bob Dylan's version of "End of the Innocence."

And I think I like "Boys of Summer" better than anything by Billy Joel.
