Last Exit to Springfield is your winner

Post by stip »

Everyone knows the drill. Single elimination season 1-10 episode tournament.

Bracket can be found here

Seeding, including first round byes, were completely random.

Matches will stay open for two days.

I will try and post episode summaries, time allowing. But anyone able to help with that, with clips, etc. when I can't get to it would be greatly appreciated.

Lets do this!

I feel like voting for TV episodes is going to be much more difficult than songs.

The "Behind The Laughter" episode (Season 11) deserves a spot here. Put it in a play-in round.

Listen, there are a handful of episodes in season 11 and 12 that are fantastic. But we have to draw a line somewhere, and if we're being honest with ourselves none of the episodes after season 10 belong in the later rounds of this thing, so fuck 'em.

I think it's golden all the way through season 14. Seasons 15 and 16 are a bit more mixed, but there are still plenty of episodes I love. 17 is where it starts getting sketchy.

Agreed. Though I think the Simpsons golden age ended after the 12th season. And, seasons 3-9 were the prime years.

You guys are throwing around terms like "golden age" way too loosely.
