My August is wide open right now. Maybe I'll see how many films I can watch in one month and not lose my mind (and still have some sort of a life).

At least in school it was tough to keep that stamina. Three quarters into a semester I'd just get so numb from watching movies and critiquing them that once I asked flat out in class, "Today's movie isn't too artsy is it? I don't know if I can pay extra attention today." Oh my professor hated that question...

Yeah but it's way different to watch films because you have to than to watch them because you want to. This is how I watch 30+ movies in all those 10-day festivals. I'm just super psyched about the whole thing.

Maybe that's really at the heart of it for me. Maybe I just don't have that passion to see films like I used to.

i'd feel like i wasn't giving the film a fair shake if I watched that many at once. I'm the same with music.

You know what, I'm an asshole. I watch a ton of TV shows. I could easily watch more movies if I wanted to. I just tend to prefer TV right now.

yes, i grew up on that cartoon. the chances of it making it to the states are slim and none, but still...
