I guess, but the fact of having a high or low number is kind of immaterial. If he manages to secure tickets, his seniority kicks in as it always has. I get that people think it'll mean their individual chances of getting chosen are now lessened, but could the fanclub really keep going indefinitely with the "mash F5 and pray" method of ticket buying?

I know it's a different scenario in the US as there's so many more 10C members, but is it such a big deal if you miss out and have to go through Ticketek? I let my membership go as I never used it for tickets, I always preferred going through the public sales (cheaper, more reliable, etc.)

If I were 10C, I'd stop selling tickets altogether and just give people a Ticketek pre-sale password or something. It seems like a gigantic headache.

The same # of 10 Clubbers will be getting tickets to each show as before. Almost never has a 10 Clubber shut out of a full size PJ concert. I don't know how many times this can be repeated. For shows that are super hot (MSG?) this just means people will be more likely to get MSG tickets if it's their 1st choice and not their 10th.

I'm not worried about being shut out of a full Pearl Jam show. I am worried about how my number has remained the same, yet, my seats continue to get worse. Under this new plan, I don't see how this will improve that situation.

I'm now at the point in my life where I can drop significant $$ for a pair of front row seats via StubHub, but is that really what Pearl Jam wants us to do?

There's threads upon threads on synergy about 10c members being shut out of shows. I could be wrong, but I thought the 10c only gets 10% of the avail tickets for its 10c members?

The only people I see this hurting are the people hitting multiple shows. But I think a system that prioritizes the people seeing one show (or making it easier for them to see it) is a good idea.

Stip...no, I never had a guarantee before, but never had trouble securing fabulous seats on back-to-back nights in Boston. I think the odds of hitting two shows in the same city are more difficult now.

I understand that the band and its management reserve the right to change the rules at any given time.

This all likely means that I'll be purchasing super expensive seats via a third party site (pending my wife's approval) as my "back up" potential seats through Ten Club.

You say this again and again, but I don't believe it. My guess is that because the 10c has lowered the barriers to entry to getting tickets (you no longer have to sit at home on a Tuesday from 9am PST to 11am PST hitting refresh) the number of people trying for tickets will increase. We are not entitled to tickets, but I don't see how this won't make it much harder to attend concerts in the DC->Boston corridor.
