Singers like John Lennon exhibit the same vocal maturation.
I feel like PJ one of the few here that appreciates his vocal evolution.
i actually prefer current Eddie vedder (at least on the albums--live may be different) to the late 90s/early 2000s eddie

I don't think he's ever sounded "better" than on some of his solo outings over the last 5 years. Great showcase for his warmth and versatility.stip wrote:PlayC3 wrote:People have to realize nearly every singers voice changes inevitably over time. I think a lot of people are dismayed by the way he currently sings with PJ. But, if you've seen him on any of his recent solo tours, his voice sounds phenomenal.

His voice comes and goes on bootlegs now but he still can fill the room live, especially with his solo shows. So much depth and warmness in his voice.EJ wrote:I think a lot of people are dismayed by the way he currently sings with PJ. What's wrong with 2000 era Ed, you prick?PlayC3 wrote:People have to realize nearly every singers voice changes inevitably over time. I've said this before, but I think eddie has almost never been captured well in a live setting, even on the good bootlegs. A lot gets lost.Monkey_Driven wrote:His voice comes and goes on bootlegs now but he still can fill the room live, especially with his solo shows. What gets lost is probably just your mind filling in the blanks when you're in the venue.

I've written about this at length at least once on the old board, I'll try to restrain myself from doing it again.

Stip, do you mean lost from studio to live? Or from your memory of the live experience to the recording of the live experience? Or both?

Good. Just making sure. I didn't want this thread to careen out of control over a misunderstanding like the Admit Something thread.stip wrote:the latter.

Well good good for you. I'm not sure sure what I'm supposed to do with that, though.cutuphalfdead wrote:Lately I've been been getting high until Craig Ferguson comes on.durdencommatyler wrote:I know! Chud shouldn't post when he's high.stip wrote:that would have been a disaster!
