So the press ran with the whole "Foxboro won't extend curfew" story for the GNR shows there, but the bigger story to come out of that is they are closing off the entire upper level for the second show and are expecting a "sparse" crowd for night 2...based on the seating map on TM a couple of weeks ago, this definitely looks to be the case...might be lucky to get 20K for that second night, and that's after they paper the shit out of it

Doesn't look like it's getting cancelled at this point, but I don't know whether to be excited that my free tickets just became a whole lot better or bummed that the band might totally phone in the show

I kind of think doing a huge stdium tour was a bit of an overshoot for them the first time back out. Too expensive, too many uncertainties etc....

the stuff about Slash's wife being a pain in the ass is absolutely true...that's not to say she didn't do ANY good, but in terms of GNR, nothing was going to happen as long as she was in the picture (and it's not coincidence that less than 6 months after they split, the reunion rumors were the strongest they had ever been)...I even seem to remember an article coming out a few months back about how just getting her out of the positions she had with regards to Slash's career was a complete and total clusterfuck of a hassle...but hey, that's what happens when you let a former stripper run your career

I have no doubt Duff was the main cog in getting Axl and Slash speaking again, and getting this thing off the ground...I don't even think this is a question for most people/fans

The signing off on each other's projects is absolutely true as well...Slash's Made in Stoke live album was supposed to be a full length DVD as well, but instead was a half assed "bonus" disc of just his solo stuff and no Guns stuff...the full length DVD was put out everywhere but North America I believe

well they banged out the first night in most of the cities that added second nights...I think adding a second night was pushing it, as I don't think any of the second nights are doing well aside from Dodger Stadium

Axl sounded pretty good still on opening night...up and walking around but from the clips I've seen, wasn't running around like a complete mad man on the whole and running out of breath...as long as he can still sound good in about 3 weeks, that's really all I care about
