cool show. Outdoors > indoors concerts
Not if outdoor setlist is way shittier than indoor setlist, which is generally the case with PJ less a couple of exceptions.
Maybe... I just like the mood it sets being under the stars (or sun)

I couldn't believe that they kicked off the "sequel" to LO2L with that. However, it was a good way of warning the listener that they were in for a total shitfest. If you ever need evidence to demonstrate to someone how far PJ have fallen, just compare those two albums.

Yep, while it was obviously never going to live up to LO2L, apart from improved mixing on the 2006 tracks, LOXL was a massive disappointment.

I'm actually going to make my own 'sequel' to LO2L once the LA 98 Vault show comes out, using that, DC 98 and possibly the Soundboard Remasters version of Seattle II 98.

Live on Ten Legs would have been much better if they didn't include any songs from the '08-'12 tours.

welp, this was the type of set i expected in 2008. i didn't think it'd happen this time around. alas. while i'd have been pretty disappointed if i went to roo just for this set, still had a blast in this particular setting. ed flubbed lyrics all over the place, especially at the beginning, but the band was pretty much high energy throughout the night. there were some points where it seemed ed wasn't getting the crowd response he wanted/anticipated, but from every on-site and online opinion i've seen and heard, a lot of people were really happy with the show and had high praise for it. they probably made some new fans this weekend.

the main highlight for me was 'comfortably numb'. my favorite song of all time, played by one of my favorite bands, at my favorite place on this earth. it really was all i was hoping for, and it was a joyful experience.

Saw them play this at Greenville and it's really one of their best covers they've done.

That 08 show was pretty great. This one sounds like it was a mess.

Shit... my bad. Didn't think to check "general pearl jam bitching" thread for an article about the bonnaroo show by some hack writer. (albeit a hack writer whose opinions are accurate, just late to the RM party of similar opinions)

PJ have seemingly been on a tear lately, so this Bonnaroo blip shouldn't be such a big deal, BUT for a festival that had a major impact on my musical life...a festival that has seen career notable performances from bands like Radiohead and My Morning Jacket, this just SUCKS. I can't believe PJ threw in this type of show at Bonnaroo. It's really disappointing.
