It lasted for two decades; plenty to choose from and the game changed plenty over that time.

Oh sure, but there's enough crossover with guys like Jerry Rice that I wouldn't find it as interesting as, say, Bradshaw to Ward or Big Ben to Stallworth.

I found the best way to ignore the flaws of whatif is to create a usable and fun spreadsheet for the league to use. You should try that.
