I believe it's "greener on the other side," but now I hope "weiner on the other side" is a lyric that ends up on the new album.

As long as we're posting favourite vocal performances...
I feel like he doesn't really sing as measured/calm as he used to. Obviously this sort of delivery wouldn't work on every song and i'm sure some people find it boring, but nowadays there's alot of extra syllables, unnessecary deep/high notes or just more performance in the vocal...if that makes any sense. It's why i prefer the uke song demos to the album versions, and this version of trouble to the water on the road version.
As an aside, i much prefer this stuff and nonsense daughter tag to the actual song. The melody is much cooler. There's many a song i've been dissapointed by after hearing it's not as dark sounding as the version i first head as a daughter tag.

I'd agree with that, and I think it's my main issue with how he sounds now, more than the loss of power or anything like that. It just sounds like he's, for lack of a better term, flailing around on everything. It's one of the reasons I never really saw Uke Songs as this vocal powerhouse in the way some others do; that issue is all over that record.

Yeah definately. I feel like if he slowed the fuck down/calmed the fuck down and just thought for a second he'd sound better. Not that i don't think he's thinking at all, just that it sounds like he's throwing everything he's got at it, all the time.
KD, McP, and some others have a bunch of theories as to why (vocally) he sings like that--a way to control his voice. If I understand them right, it is intentional, rather than the sloppiness that is implied here
Some of it is probably intentional too, the extra little vocal runs (which surely must be harder to control than a straight note?) occasionally singing in a higher register for some unbeknownst reason, dipping comically low on the odd word here an there.
I'm not saying he does this shit all the time and always sounds like complete ass by the way, i'm just picking on things. Though do i wish he'd stop doing said things.
