Im going to be teaching at a new studio that is opening up in town here. Its kind of nerve wracking because I haven't even taught in a couple months at this point. They are rolling out the Teacher Profiles on social media and mine was today. its frightening because im an idiot and you never know if people are even going to show up to class.

Meet Brian Dahlen! When Brian is not his yoga mat, he is camping, hiking, playing guitar and trying to to come up with ways to answer these questions.

Favorite yoga pose: depending on what he's had to eat for the day, either one-legged Crow or Wheel, because both require a beautiful mix of strength and vulnerability.

Yoga Nidra was recommended to me today by a supervisor and I don't know whether to feel grateful or offended.

Yoga Nidra is great. Ive had some really great 20 minute naps. A little yoga nidra after a good yoga practice does the body good.

I'm certainly curious about it. Any suggestions on where to start? I don't really know what it is.

Context: Our beverage director flies down from Phoenix a few times a year to catch up. We were jamming about hurdles and opportunities in my role as this location's beverage manager and it came up when touching on work/life balance.

I started doing this in my loungeroom a few years ago

and it slowly evolved into doing the intermediate video once a week in the yard (to get sun and avoid my stupid low ceiling) with earbuds, it’s probably the most important thing I do, I’ve never been to a yoga class though

ive finally learnt to do my yoga routine without listening to any audio or video guide. i tried once about a year ago but accidentally skipped a few poses and rushed through some of them.


now i can listen to meditation music and do it at my own pace. only took about 100 times to memorize it

Running is gonna catch up with me so before it’s too late I’ll have to pivot to something else.

Yoga, cycling, or weights. Haven’t decided yet.
