Re: The Beautiful Game (The All Inclusive Soccer Thread)
america's suburban whiteys can only take the USMNT so far
put a soccer ball at the feet of adrian peterson from age 4, and those like him, and USMNT will field a better soccer team
they might even be better at internet message boarding too, who knows
some pretty paltry material being put up by the honkey contingent in this thread
lot's of BRO RAGE though, which can be entertaining, but rarely insightful
mommy come pick me up it's time to take me and Billy to the Eminem concert!!!!! Don't forget our shinguards!!! We're hard, yo!!

Re: The Beautiful Game (The All Inclusive Soccer Thread)
It doesn't bother me in the least that the US isn't the best at Soccer. I wish they were better, I wish US soccer wasn't a big circle jerk of people using European terms for the game trying to sound smarter, but, I mean Messi is Messi. Hell that was fun to watch anyway. We don't and likely won't have that. I still like watching and supporting them.
The MLS is a bad league, it is over the hill talent and just better than college players for the most part, the world knows this.
1st touches, control, and fitness are key in soccer, there are really only 3 or 4 world class teams at any time, the US isn't passionate about the sport and that's fine. Plenty of people like it so its on. Great. Nice to have choices.

It's really hard to take a second account trying to wind people up seriously. I'm not mad at all, but fuck you all the same.96583UP wrote:america's suburban whiteys can only take the USMNT so far

And what position would a 6 foot 1 220 pound muscled up dude play? Please enlighten me.

Chile vs Colombia is delayed and I don't see that changing, lots of strong weather in the area all night. Looks like I made the right choice.

They are trolling, a bit.
But, come on, they are not saying AP (and great athletes like him), would be jacked up 220+ lb soccer players. They'd have frames built for the game. If you funnel athletes early on with their insane potential into soccer, the U.S. would be on the world's map for soccer.
Alas, it's a nonstarter. The game will never get to that point in the U.S.

Chile went into half up 2-0. I guess they'll start back up tomorrow? I don't know what the rules are on that.

Re: The Beautiful Game (The All Inclusive Soccer Thread)
I think it's much more reasonable to suggest talent that would fit the game is going undeveloped all together in our country. Saying X football player would be awesome if he picked soccer is lazy. If great athletes in a respective sport could just simply decide to apply themselves to a different sport and be great then deion Sanders would have his number retired by the Braves.EJ wrote:verb_to_trust wrote:Bammer wrote:Adrian Peterson is exactly who I was thinking of

The pitch looks pretty water logged and Colombia down to 10 men. What a disappointment. Not sure when I'll get a chance to watch a semi final of a major international tournament again.

Should be a great final. Both teams in really good form right now.

Yeah excited for the final. Should be epic. Chile with that high pressing will be playing a dangerous boom or bust game against Argentina. Which will be great for us viewers.

That Shaqiri goal gets scored by 9/10 NFL players. I don't see what the big deal is.
