The last four minutes had more action than the previous 116.

3 pretty average games yesterday.

Now Messi is saying he is done with the national team? I'm not a Messi hater at all but that would be completely pathetic if true.

Adrian Peterson would never do that to the U.S.

He's probably tired of all the criticism from a fat old dude who is famous for winning a world cup on a play that should have been a penalty.

I mean Chile won both, so it's obviously not a fluke.

What was the deal with all the cards? I didn't get to see the game.

I only saw the penalty shootout. I read some stuff about how the ref made some mistakes and was maybe trying to even it out with more cards but ended up just making the game worse.

As for messi if you are the greatest soccer player who ever lived rage quitting your national team is pretty lame. The Argentina federation is in shambles though so maybe it's more about that? Lots of rumors about other high profile players for them retiring too.

yeah he's the highest profile player but not the only one. Apparently the Argentinian federation is a mess and doesn't give a shit about the players, so they are all threatening to leave.

I think he'll be at Russia 18. If I quit RM, which is more dysfunctional and awful than the AFA, and returned....then I doubt messi's international career is over

Spain's kits look like someone wiped their ass with them after eating chipotle for a week straight.

He's probably not quitting, just really, really frustrated. That said, Chile is a pretty damned good team.

He's out as national coach after this, right? They're lucky to even be this far.

It's a bit hard to judge England so far because we've only played against teams that have set up to defend. I am really getting sick of playing everyone out of position though. What's the point of starting a second striker and playing him on the wing?

Be careful, talking about players being out of position is a stupid American thing according to jurgen Klinnsman.
