Lol, the ESPN announcer is calling it the biggest upset and humiliation in English football history. Iceland isn't some pushover, they played some good ball to get here.

Never liked that bastard. Benched Clint Dempsey when he took over at Fulham and made the Deuce force his way back in the lineup like every other manager he ever had in Europe.

Yeah. Plus Kane was anonymous again, Rooney couldn't even manage a decent first touch and Sturridge spent all match dribbling the ball into Iceland players.

Roy has resigned, but that probably just means we're in for a different mediocre English manager. I should really stop supporting this team, but my only other option is the USA.

Typical English show of shite. Not enough workers, no ideas and turning off at times. Both goals were players turning off.

Hard not to laugh at England. Ali was god awful. He lead the tourney in times a player was dispossessed. kane was pathetic. His free kicks were dreadful. Rooney in midfield is a joke. Kyle Walker is fast but he can't complete a cross to save his life.

Maybe this will force the England FA to evolve their national team approach, probably not but maybe.

I guess all that Washington Post talk about the MLS holding the US national team back is a little overblown no?

This is routine for England and they have a great league.

US soccer needs change throughout the entire organization to get better. They do a very poor job at finding and cultivating talent, Klinsmann still can't decide what he even wants to do. They're a nice team and they are at their limit of progression without a significant talent increase.

A great move for the MLS would be a strong focus on signing young, potential stars instead of offering huge wages to way over the hill stars like Drogab, lamapard, and Kaka. That would go a long way to creating a more exciting product.

That was great. They put on a thoroughly professional performance, working hard for each other and not a single one of them shirked responsibility.
