Yeah I'd give up one of them for Fernandez. For Gray I'd rather find a package of anything but those two guys.

I'd tell Miami to pick any 5 prospects but you can't have Moncada AND Benintendi.

Awesome. I was thinking that the "anything other than..." meant you wouldn't, but very, very few prospect should be off-limits in acquiring a pitcher like Fernandez.
Especially when the Red Sox already have a very young core at the major league level.
Yeah, having Bogaerts, Betts and Bradley to build their offense around definitely makes trading someone like Moncada/Benintendi more palatable.
TBH, I'd let Bradley go in a Fernandez trade if it meant giving up less in the prospect dept.

Yeah, I have a feeling he's going to even out right at .300, and while that's still great, front-line pitching is much, much more in demand.

I think the manager needs to go. The attitude and passion with this team and others (last year) is just so inconsistent. Time for a shake-up and a trade. Also, could it be that Price is too soft for Boston? That was my greatest fear.

I'm not really concerned about Price yet, but Farrell absolutely needs to go.

The whole toughness is required to play in boston narrative is greatly overplayed.

I don't see how firing Farrell is going to change anything. He's made some questionable decisions but he's not the reason they're losing. Boston still leads MLB in runs and OPS. They're a respectable 12th in fielding percentage and, believe it or not, their bullpen is ranked 10th. I don't see how a new manager is going to stop their starters from giving up four runs in the first inning of every game.
I'll be the one in the lobby in the green fuck me shirt. The green one.

Farrell is a bad manager and he doesn't deserve the job. Sure, the responsibility is on the players to perform well but I think there needs to be new organization-wide philosophy when it comes to pitching.

Fire Farrell, fire the pitching coaches, and get some new blood in the room to try a different approach.

Farrell has already cost the team multiple wins with his awful in-game decision making. Firing him would absolutely make a positive difference.

I don't think it's as serious as people are making it out to be.
