I could totally see why someone would find his music boring, even though I love it.

I just wish that wonderful production on Real Friends didn't have to slum with Kanyes shitty lyrics.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Sorry for the crossing of wires; I was really just referencing zeb and verb. Re: Kanye West
The lyrics to that song are narcissistic bullshit. The song itself has a soul but only Kanye can relate to those shitty lyrics and it kind of kills the song for me.

Real Friends and Wolves are the best songs off that album. I agree though about the half-assery KD.

"Ultralight Beam," "Real Friends," and "FML" are my favorites. I love the inflection in Kanye's voice when he sings "niggas ain't real as they pretend to be." That's great phrasing.
I like "Wolves," "30 Hours," and "No More Parties" too. But the meat of the album is just kind of a drag for me.

"Ultralight Beam", "Father Stretch My Hands", and "Famous" are pretty untouchable for me.

I am a big fan of Josh Homme and I don't defend his right to use the word "fag" as a slur. What's your point?theplatypus wrote:Aren't you a big fan of world-famous homophobe Josh Homme?

Re: Kanye West
Wait, what was your point in coming to this thread and talking about "all the misogynists we admire", or posting on my Facebook about how you "can't believe I support such a misogynist"? It sounded like you read that blog post about the TLOP lyrics, got all riled up about it, and were going for a whole moral superiority angle, but maybe I misread you.zeb wrote:I am a big fan of Josh Homme and I don't defend his right to use the word "fag" as a slur. This back and forth is inspiring me to put this album on again for the first time in a little while.
