"will myself to find a home, a home within myself, we will find a way, we will find our place"
was on No Code you dorks would be fawning all over it.
The lyrics are fine. The music is fine. The song is fine.
The first one is an okay line. The second line, if on No Code, would likely be recast as philosophical hoo-hah, and would be criticized like people currently criticize "I'm Open."
True, but it fits right in with most lyrics in Present Tense or Who You Are.
I think the "I am Lost..." line is pretty great now that I think about it.
They should have ditched Crapduster, Bu$hleaguer, Ghost, Get Right and Arc and kept Other Side, Undone and Down. Would have been a much stronger album.

one of eddie's best. some of leash's lyrics are a bit immature, but it is a song bursting with a playful youthful energy, so it all works. id take this over the temper tantrum of lukin every time
Here is mine: I hate the jam in RVM. Kills all the momentum in the song.
I also hate Leash (especially since he doesn't sing the swear words anymore) I also wouldn't mind not hearing Why Go or Glorified G again. I don't understand the draw of Breath either. Happy 4th.

RVM studio is fine. The jam(if you want to call it that) in all live versions since 2000 that drags on for minutes is pointless.
It went to some interesting places in 2000 (I honestly can't remember any from earlier than that). In recent years it's basically been a big wash of nothing.

agreed about the jam in RVM...sucks the life out completely..seems to kill the point of the song..

I absolutely love Leash. Always have. I don't mind the lyrics at all, and the music is fucking great. I agree that the "I am lost..." line is fantastic too. Actually, Leash is my favorite song on Vs.
