I don't look for humour in music. Maybe that's why I've never found it?

Yeah humor in music is wildly overrated. You end up getting garbage like Randy Newman or Frank Zappa.

Warren Zevon and Elvis Costello are about the only guys I can think of to consistently pull it off. Mostly b/c it's dripping with sarcasm.

I'm a Zappa fan, sir. I guess what I'm saying is, I've never been inclined to giggle at "Don't Eat The Yellow Snow." There's more than enough musicality there to make it 'not funny' for me. Maybe I'm a joyless prick? Whatever. It's saved me from buying/listening to Weird Al records.

I find the subject matter kinda serious. "I'll never suck Satan's dick" has never struck me as funny, or humor. Same with Bugs and foxy. I freely admit it might make me a joyless prick. But, I'm not about to apologize for it.

I also find AC/DC's Big Balls to be one of the dumbest songs ever recorded. But, I laughed at Four Weddings And Funeral. I'm really far from perfect.
