The thing that most people forget here is that 85% of the human population is comprised of dumbasses. So basically you can assume that 85% of any workforce are dumbasses. That percentage does not exclude law enforcement, government or healthcare just as it does not exclude the general public.

It's kind of inconsequential to me what the leadership has to say. It's not really supposed to be an organization anyway. The overall point was that there are systemic unfair practices in government that are unfairly targeting a segment of the population (see Ferguson). Police have an extremely challenging and dangerous job, of course their role is to be respected. Often it isn't, often there are perpetrators in the wrong, but Philando Castille? I'm still waiting on the public story, because right now, all I can discern is that there is a dead person who was killed by a cop for doing what he was instructed to do, if that's the case, that officer needs to be in jail forever.

Black Lives Matter, is simply a slogan that comes out of the frustration of years of small indignancies and larger ones. They are frustrated about news coverage too ironically. What was it 2 years of Natallie Hollowell lost/murdered in Aruba.

It's not intended to gloss over cultural issues or say that cops lives or white lives don't matter, it's just born out of frustration, no matter what some professed leader says. People say stupid things every day, they don't speak for the group any more than Trump or Hillary speak for us as a nation.

Philando Castille should be the story... Not.... "Why are these people so angry they should fix themselves first". The man had a concealed carry permit, declared it, and then got shot for retrieving his license and registration. That's something to be upset about.

True. And she was wearing a white feather hat at some press conference? I have no idea - but I do know that historically folks of color have had their right to bear arms infringed upon at state levels....because - "black is bad," or something.
