I don't need positive reviews to know this is gonna be fun. I might be the only person in this thread who has been excited about & looking forward to this movie from the beginning.

One of the collider crew was saying it's the best 3D he's ever seen and to see it in that format. I might.

The movie might be terrible and if I think it is, I'll admit it. I'm not going automatically like it no matter what.

But I am excited. I like the people involved. I like the original films. I hate reboots & wish these people had come up with something else to do together. The trailers have been fine. But I don't put much stock in trailers regardless.

I'll probably see it during it's theatrical run and I expect to enjoy myself. We'll see if that happens.

I can't claim to be excited, but I've been looking forward to this ever since Kate McKinnon was cast.
I'll take it!

So a friend of mine, who I consider a movie "snob", just called me for our annual bad movie date. He wants to see this. Sigh. I guess I'm seeing this in the theaters.

The bright side is, he also thinks it will be the worst movie of 2016.

Every year we both agree on the one movie we think will be the worst, and go see it together. I don't know why we do it, we just do. In hindsight I wish we could have agreed on Independence Day: Resurgence.

Man, I think McKinnon is a rare and special bird. I'll probably watch anything she's in for at least the next few years; she's one of a small handful of actors who I find so unique and pleasantly odd that I'm super excited to watch her career develop.
100% agree! I think we've found our common ground buddy. Our friendship is about to explore new heights!

He really thinks this will be the single worst movie of 2016?

i could say the same to you. Obviously tastes are subjective but this looks objectively bad enough for me to use hyperbole in regards to it. I could still enjoy watching this but I won't pay for it
