To my knowledge, Appalachian Opera and Everybody Has Scars were never available before...Opera dates back to 1993 or so, Everybody Has Scars is from the Three Snakes Sessions. Same with the studio versions of Nothing Love Everything and Name Like Music...they were known to exist as studio recordings but the studio versions weren't available to my knowledge. Both songs saw official releases as part of the band's live archive releases (Nothing Love Everything was only played live once ever a few days after the studio recording was made). Unlikely to Believe and Spider in the Sugar Bowl Blues are from the same studio session as Nothing Love Everything, previously uncirculated (though live versions of Spider were played in 96 and 97 somewhat regularly).

I don't recall ever hearing "Entrance" before. Wind and Wood Heart, One Cop Story, Painkiller, Bitter Bitter You, Bewildered, the Fear Years, On That Hollow Day, Exit and of course Title Song have all circulated for a while as part of different studio compilations fans put together (most if not all of those date back to 92-93). The instrumental Pastoral from the 3 Snakes sessions has been around for a while as well (I was really hoping when I saw this listed that the version with full lyrics and vocals had finally come to see the light of day.

The Dying From the Cure compilation sounds like it's some of the lost sessions that took place in the studio with Ford a year or so after the 2005 reunion...It Takes One to Know One was played throughout 2006, Right Where You Want Me sounds like Magic Rooster Blues for the first few seconds but is a completely different song otherwise. The other four don't sound at all familiar.

The Big Toe show has been out there forever IIRC, but if you've never heard it, it's honestly one of the best live shows I've ever heard...utterly fantastic stuff.

I haven't gone through most of the Sendspace links yet, is there anything interesting on those that hasn't circulated prior?

   Thanks for reposting the links, MattA75. I know some of this material, but not all. I'm a big fan, but haven't really dug through all of the unreleased stuff yet. Looking forward to checking out this batch of goodies.

So aside from the stuff that has already been out there for years (i.e. Exit, Title Song, Bewildered etc), some of this stuff doesn't strike me as all that great...a lot of it seems to be more sketches of songs than actual finished products

That being said, I really dig Everybody Has Scars and Right Where You Want Me, and I dig the studio versions of Nothing Love Everything and Name Like Music (though I've dug those songs for years from the live versions)

And I'll still never know why It Takes One to Know One got shelved, studio version is really good

I really wish the two Brothers of a Feather originals that never saw the light of day (Cut From the Shadow, Late Nights Again) would somehow get out in good quality

Steve Gorman is having Rich Robinson on his radio show today. Will look for a link but they're supposed to talk Crowes.

Someone on one of the Steve Gorman Sports Facebook page's posts about Rich's interview posted something along the lines of "Steve, Rich, Marc, Sven and Ed should go out on tour and call it the "No One Told Chris" Tour

:haha:

they could have left the stage at the 5-minute mark and it would have been worth it.

I guess I should say does anyone have any shows from that era in flac or mp3 and can provide a link to make as easy as possible for me to download it and burn it on a CD so I can ride around town with it blasting and imagine I'm still cool?

I'm thinking about seeing the CRB on Tuesday but I'm not sure. I've heard one of the new songs they have from the upcoming record and it was decent but I'm still on the fence.

I've seen them twice back in the day and they were too jammy for my tastes. But if you're into each song turning into an 11-minute marathon, have at it!
