I don't know. The Sony e-mail leaks suggest they had to pretty much force him to do it.Kaius wrote:It was weird. But he is weird. I thought all the cameos were bad except for Sigourney Weaver's.

I hope you enjoy it. It's far, far, far from perfect. But there's so much to like about it even when you remove yourself from the larger debate/implications. It's a fun movie.Strat wrote:I want to go see this tonight actually. Hmm

I have absolutely no problem with the casting, or the bigger social implications this movie may or may not have on its shoulders.durdencommatyler wrote:I hope you enjoy it. The only thing i've ever been concerned with was:
1. The fact it was remade to begin with and
2. The type of humor in comparison to the original.

Also, is Kate McKinnon's hairstyle in the movie a reference to Egon in the old The Real Ghostbusters cartoon?

Re: Ghostbusters (2016)
There was no reason to remake Ghostbusters, for sure. But I'll side with LV on this and say, if it's a good movie, who really cares? If it's good, it's good and the mere fact of it being a reboot is silly and unimportant.Strat wrote:I have absolutely no problem with the casting, or the bigger social implications this movie may or may not have on its shoulders.durdencommatyler wrote:I hope you enjoy it. And I think it's good.
As far as #2 goes... don't go in expecting the same style of humor. It's different. It's less dry and grounded throughout. This is it's own thing and product of its time just as the original is a product of its time.
