Again, let me know when/if you do see it. I'd love your thoughts on it. Especially as someone a tad younger than me and a little further removed from the original films.

I'm pretty upset that these Twitter trolls have put people in the unfortunate position of having to defend Leslie Jones

Re: Ghostbusters (2016)
I was all in on Ghostbusters when I was a kid. I didn't see them until they were airing on USA Network in the early 90s, but they left a strong impression and the follow up cartoon series and video games and toys were all childhood staples.
I also groaned when I first heard about this movie. And I groaned again when I saw the first preview. And I groaned (in my head) a couple of times when watching the movie.
Having said all of that: I had a lot of fun watching this and I think they did an overall really good job with the "reboot". I would watch it again and I look forward to seeing these characters again in a sequel.
Kate McKinnon.

The weather is going to be hot, like spike said. Not me watching Ghostbusters alone.Kaius wrote:Uh. WhatE.H. Ruddock wrote:same here, but without a wife.spike wrote:there's a good chance my wife an i will see this over the weekend, as it will be hotter than the surface of the sun outside.

I hope you enjoy at least some of it. It's nowhere near as bad as the trailers made it look, I promise. I can't say you'll love it but I'll be shocked if you think it's completely terrible.Strat wrote:We might see this tonight.

Kate McKinnon.
I still wish they'd come up with a new concept rather rebooting an older movie. But, whatever. They pulled it off well. It's a lot of fun inspite of its flaws and groans.

I don't want to see her type cast as "the wacky one", but I would love to see her as the Joker.
