I just remembered that Trump referred to his penis size during a primary debate. I hate everything.

Wasserman Schultz is gone, not that it matters much. They already got what they wanted.

Yep. They have a lot of leeway considering the opposition.

That's the attitude that can cost them the election.

More like that's the type of attitude that can lead to something terrible during her presidency.

Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, said on Sunday that “experts are telling us that Russian state actors broke into the DNC, stole these emails, [and are] releasing these emails for the purpose of helping Donald Trump”.

http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016 ... dnc-emails

this, i believe

Donald Trump would be to Putin, as Chris Christie is to Donald Trump

Russia would take more parts of Eastern Europe

Trump would be accommodating/isolationist

....and then .....????? probably not good things

playtime with Ralph Nader ideals needs to go on pause

Realpolitik is Real

Trump makes the US significantly weaker geopolitically

bad for the people of pearl jam

the next four years are a lost cause. Work to make the four after better, assuming we make it that far.

I'm definitely in the Bernie camp, and I will vote for Hillary, no problem. You don't need to fear Trump to justify this, either. Even if you think she's a bad candidate, we just witnessed a 6 week period where fighting for progressive ideals paid off in the form of a progressive platform, and a candidate that seems way to the left of where anyone thought she'd go. Is she lying? Maybe. Romney pandered to the right in 2012 and then made the pivot during the first debate. You can't just assume that's going to be the case here, though. Most Lefties have become more liberal during the last 8 years, maybe she has too? And maybe we just focus on doing what Bernie Sanders has been telling us all along to do - keep fighting. She can't pivot in the fall, or while in office, if there's constant pressure on her. If that wasn't the plan Bernie had for us after his run ended, I don't know what was.

Totally agree. Over the next 4 years, Sandernistas should keep the momentum going. Go vote in a mid-term election, for starters. The notion that a watershed moment in the progressive political movement had been reached also came up during Obama's first campaign; and instead of 'Hopesters' carrying the momentum into subsequent elections, Republicans took over Congress.

Fighting to achieve progress should matter every year regardless of whether there is a presidential election. Populating government with the right people at local and regional levels builds a foundation for a larger state and federal progressive push. And much more impact could be had on crafting policy with a centrist democrat in office - one that can serve as an incubator for a next and more liberal generation - than could be had with a far-right feces-spewing casino operator.

You don't just give up cause it didn't 100% go your way - you go work harder at it to try to get the best sub-100% percentage that you can get.
