10th album rumors and speculation

It would be nice to hear some derivative McCready soloing on this record. His "patterns" didn't really do it for me on BS and I didn't really think he was all that great on Self titled either.

Pre-Album - This album is going to suck
Leak - This isn't too bad
Release - This is one of the best since Yield
6 months after release - This album sucks

Pretty sure that's how it's gone down since Riot Act*, although I don't think it usually takes 6 months for the album to suck

*could have very well been like this prior to the release of Riot Act, but I wasn't a regular on the board at that time.

The more I look at the latest one, the more it just seems inevitable. Either someone has Ed totally pegged or... these really are legit, specfically stuff like Vivid Futures, Tracking Change, Uncharted Terrain, etc. (It's got that whole Into the Wild vibe)
