Ah, I guess for the owners who thought that punishment was too lenient. That's not much of a "make up" for the Pats, though.

So do I, friend. I wanted this over months (years?) ago.

I just want it to be over and never hear about it again.

The prevailing theory is that 1. the owners thought the Spygate penalty was too lenient, 2. Goodell was also seen as too lenient on Ray Rice (after the tape was exposed), 3. Kraft was guilty of previously lobbying other owners to swallow overblown punishments for cap violations (Jones/Cowboys). So there's the ample motivation to make a mountain out of a mole hill.

And all of that makes some kind of sense if I look at it from a certain angle. But it's just so stupid and overblown. Goodell is a nightmare.

I'm guessing they'll start 2-2 without Brady (and they easily could have been 3-1 with him), which won't be a deep whole or anything.

They won at least one SB starting the season 2-2.

#2 makes no sense. "You were too lenient on wife beaters, so let's make an example out of ball deflators!!!!". But #3 is interesting. I still think the Redskins and Cowboys got completely screwed for breaking a rule that didn't exist. Nothing smelled of collusion worse than that.

This reads to me like it should be spoken in an Eric Cartman voice.

:haha:

When my wife e-mailed me to tell me that Belichick was already getting salty, I assumed it was about a 7th-string tight end who forgot to block on one play. This is much better.

Yeah that was awesome. And what a stupid fucking question to ask. I don't care if Garappolo goes undefeated.

What if he goes undefeated AND throws for 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns in his four games under center? AND manages to bang Gisele?

Things that are going right for the Pats...

Still the best coach in football. A good month long audition for Jimmy G (to trade for another 2nd round pick next year or legitimately hold on to)

Generally speaking, Pissed off Angry Tom Brady = Super Bowl.

The Belichick/Brady combo may be my favorite ever of coach/player. Those two are freaking great, and I'm not a Patriots fan.

Yeah, I'm hard pressed to come up with a close second place.

More than 22,000 fans watched a nighttime practice yesterday. This is really becoming a Pats town vs. Sox town.
