superman, spiderman, batman. I would love it if they were never in another movie ever again.
Superman hasn't been good since 1978. Spiderman has been an abortion every time. And Nolan already nailed the bat. NEXT
I just want every super hero movie from here on out to be a Captain America movie.

I disagree severely with every single one of these points.
I could see disagreeing with the batman and superman points strat made, but come on, Spider Man movies all suck.
Raimi's first two Spider-Man movies are wonderful.
It was all tossed down the drain though

I watched about 15 minutes of Amazing Spider-Man 2 last night. I couldn't watch more. Didn't want to watch more. The scene work between Garfield and Stone was outstanding. Those kids can just fucking act. And it was magic watching them banter and flirt. I loved every second of that stuff.

Then Jaimie Foxxxxxx showed up and Garfield put on the Spider-Man suit and I wanted to throw up. The action was so terrible. The dialogue worse.

I guess, what I'm saying is that I'll give you Spider-Man 3 > Amazing Spider-Man 2.

But I liked Amazing Spider-Man enough to rank it far, far above Spider-Man 3.

Not only is Spider-Man 3 one of the worst movies I've ever seen it's also one of the worst movie going experience I've ever had. Blech. I hate that movie so much.

Yeah, but it was the most faithful version of his costume to date. That was my only gripe of his appearance in Civil War. Needless costume tinkering.

So did WB/DC until the idiot public chimed in.
I dont buy that its the publics fault. It feels more like studio execs not understanding what makes good films, what stories are worth telling, and trying to push a product rather than a good film. Attempting 10 DC films in 5 years is pretty crazy and feels more like PRAMG than Kanye's output. Know what i mean?

Yep. That was my thought as well. It's more of DC freaking out and not trusting their filmmakers. Just my limited opinion though.

They just can't get out of their own way.
But they only stopped trusting them after the BVS backlash.

Yeah not debating that. Still their dumb fault for freaking out after that.

I don't necessarily begrudge studios for increasing their voice. These are productions that cost hundreds of millions of dollars when all is said and done, and the studios basically hang their solvency on their success. What's kind of remarkable and problematic is how much some of these studios seem to suck at it, or seem unable to recognize that at a certain point in a process you need to make the best kind of film you can within the parameters that film had already established. The time to decide you want Suicide Squad to be Guardians is before it starts filming.

Oh, I liked the costume in the movie. I just hated that the writing seemed to take a dive when he put it on. Again, I only watched a fraction of the movie and it was at least in the middle, maybe toward the end, I'm not sure. I just missed watching Andrew Garfield act as opposed to seeing some half CGI/half stunt man flip around constantly while Garfield had to delivered muffled terrible dialogue.

The costume was really cool.

Their chemistry is so great I didn't notice the flaws in the movies in the theater. But the fact that i've never sought them out since probably speaks to their problems

He was one of the few things I liked about the first one. I would agree his talents were underutilized but he was still good.

People are always going to say things are shit, it's the movie studio's responsibility to have some gumption and stay the course. Though I will say, fanboy whining has reached really ridiculous proportions. There are so many keyboard directors now that think they know how to create movies or create stories, and they really don't. I even saw posts on here about movies like DKR suggesting scenes or story changes that were just incredibly fucking stupid. No one wants to just let creators create anymore and enjoy the product, they have to feel like they're responsible for it too, and it's so stupid.

I'm fascinated by Disney's immunity to things like this. Organizationally, they are light years ahead of other studios right now, to the point that if their is a real dip in movie sales, they may be the only one left in Hollywood.

to a degree fanboys may have a point about a story being portrayed. the colors of the costume or the actors chosen i will disagree with.

a movie like the watchman should be simple enough to make. you already have the storyboards in place.

when a movie takes several aspects of stories that many many people hold up as top notch (think X3 combining dark phoenix and the cure) and fan boy whining is correct. both "seirals" were done a great disservice and each could/should have been their own movies
