I love this album. It makes me feel safe, warm, and weepy.

The only complaint I have, and this can be said for the previous 2 Radiohead albums, is Yorke's voice. He doesnt seem to really stretch himself much anymore.

Despite some brief initial enthusiasm, I never feel like listening to this record.

It's a great song, but it reminds me too much of Motion Picture Soundtrack, so I've got to dock it some points for predictability.
Interesting. I can hear a similar swirling, dreamy ambience, I suppose, but the two songs ultimately strike me as very different -- "Motion Picture Soundtrack" being a very melodically "firm" composition, for lack of a better word, all the turns and angles in the melody very deliberate, while "Glass Eyes" comes off as more rambling and free-form, an almost stream-of-consciousness type melody. They're musical cousins perhaps but I only hear them as similar in the sense that any two songs that exist inside the same general sonic idioms are similar.

Across their career in general I think Radiohead have done a really admirable job of not repeating themselves musically -- there is a lot of deep, conscious musicianship in the group and for as immediately recognizable as their music is, I find they really have very few "default" settings, very few things that just seem to naturally "find their way" into some large percentage of their music (save for perhaps some rogue sound effects). I feel like this is something I can't say even about many artists who I ultimately think are greater than Radiohead. It's a rare commodity.

I've listened to this album a fair amount lately but ultimately it's been in the service of really wanting to like it while not ever really finding what I'm looking for in it. I like it more than I did but it's still a low-ranking product for me.

I hear Burn the Witch and True Love Waits on satellite from time to time so that's nice.

The worst song they've recorded since the low points of Pablo Honey.
I could maybe get behind this.

"Burn the Witch" is a great arrangement wasted on a completely average song.

Same. I think the album in general is a winner, as well. It's shockingly affecting in the right moments.
