I still can't believe you guys thought this had any chance of being good other than for oogling Margot Robbie.

I've been trying to get excited for it but it looks like Deadpool to me and I couldn't get through the opening credits to that one.

That sounds like an exaggeration.

Deadpool was a movie directed by adults designed to appeal to 14 year old kids who wanted to see an R rated movie.

Suicide Squad was apparently a move directed by adults designed to appeal to audiences (kids and adults) who wanted to see a dark and gritty R rated super hero movie that was then forced into becoming a PG 13 movie for kids who wanted to see Deadpool and can't get into an R movie.

I like irreverent humor I just prefer it be more Louis CK and less Blink 182.

Irreverence needs to be effortless to be funny. Otherwise it's juvenile posturing.

The vast majority of movies are directed by adults.

That depressingly butchered abortion was very clearly not the movie Ayer made.

That's not what Ayer says, though it's too early for him to be honest about it

We were having this conversation in another thread, but SS needs to crack 750-800 million box office to break even, and will apparently not be released in China (where guardians made 100 million).

This was a rough year for blockbusters. Was anything post civil war an unqualified success?
