Yeah they failed here overall.

Reminds me to download the super cut that's most accurate to the book. It's three hours long but all the unnecessary stuff cut out and it's brilliant I'm told.

I shouldn't laugh. I haven't seen it. But that first Hobbit film is one of the worst major budget films I can recall. I have a hard time believing this series got better as it went along. But, again, haven't seen it.

idk about that.

But this whole project was doomed from the start. it was clear they just wanted to play off the success of the LotR movies, so it had no chance.

I can't wait for the 4 new Avatars that are being made.

We've all got at least one friend with absolutely abysmal taste in movies.
In fact, it's often enough that we'll get talked into seeing a patently rubbish outing - laughing at just how poorly written, directed and performed the whole shambles is. It's cathartic. It's exactly why The Room is such a cultural phenomenon.

Why do we put ourselves through it? Apparently, people who make more time for garbage films are more analytical - as revealed in a study by the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics.

The research found that people who tend to watch bad films (usually defined by cheapness) have a keener interest in "analyses of production values, dialogue and plot structure."

So the next time you wonder why the missus is insisting you watch something with a one-star rating on Netflix, just remember that it's because she's a genius and it'll be good for your brain.

they did get better as they went along. By a considerable bit, I think. But even at its best it's not touching LOTR

Well, there you go. Shows how much I know. I'm still not sure I can bring myself to watch them, though.

Download the supercut. I'm gonna grab it tonight. Fixes everything that's possible to fix.

I mean they each did have really great elements to them, each one did. But those moments were overshadowed by a lot of the dross around them.

He's so cute and adorable until you go to pet him. Then he's all teeth and anger.
Unless you have a treat in your hand. Mylo is ignoring him.
