I'll be pissed if this doesn't end up being true, but maybe they do a Mansfield style pre show, full band accoustic, or just ed for a few songs. dunno

I'm glad being on RM for like 10 years finally paid off

I trust the sources and their info, but I'd still guess that the first song is closer to 7:00.
I was at Mansfield in '03 when they did the famous accoustic preset and there was a decent sized crowd but they had officially announced it prior to the show.

I didn't ask and I don't want to send this person more texts to become a pain in the ass, but I imagine that what happens on Friday will happen Sunday. Just a guess though.

That pre set was fantastic. And it still holds up. One of the few boots I still go back to.

Yeah, that first disc is probably my favorite boot.

I didn't go in for the pre-set and then unexpectedly was the driver on the way home because my friend was too drunk, and his brakes sucked so I promptly got in a fender-bender on the 495 on-ramp.

Not my best Pearl Jam experience.

This guy is the CEO of a major Sox sponsor, so there might be some weight to it (unless he just heard the same rumor as the rest of us):

My favorite part about Mansfield was actually being able to see them play in daylight without all the lights. Made it feel more authentic for some reason. Same will happen tonight, but Ed's voice won't touch that '03 set.

What a douche for saying "you're welcome." Yup, he's probably hearing it from his account exec at NESN, but my source works directly for Sox. I just had another friend text me confirming this, he's close to someone at the Sox, too.

Everyone was talking about the announcement outside of MSG before the second MSG show that year, 2 days before
