I started The Clone Wars series but it just didn't grab me. I want to get into Rebels though.
Outside of The Lego Movie, I've never watched any Lego anything. I had no idea they were any good.

the lego star wars stuff is very solid in mocking a lot of the actual material. And they're all short series. 5 or 6 episodes tops i think.

It really is. It's the only thing other than the movies that actually FEELS like Star Wars and takes place in that same galaxy far, far away.

I couldn't stand her but she's the most popular character in the entire series now. Deservedly. And what happens? Will she be back? There's a book coming about her. It's YA but still

As for what happens to her, I don't know. Will they go that far and actually have a character die.
I'm wondering how they will eventually wrap the series up. Because as you know, none of the characters have been mentioned in the timeframe after the series. So do they all actually die fighting the empire?

One fanboi theory is you'll see them briefly or at least hear mention of them in rogue one.

he has the sith holocron. Maul wants him as apprentice. Rumour is we're gonna see maul face off against Vader at the season finale. That would be truly epic. The kid and Kanan obviously have to die in that fight or before.

The BvS backlash went far beyond fanboys, though. It's unfair and disingenuous to blame one group of fans when it was so widely disliked.

I understand, friend. They can be insufferable. But so can everyone. It's the whole notion of "being faithful" to the comics that gets my head a-aching. Comics aren't "faithful" to the characters over time. That needs to stop being a criticism for these films. They have bigger problems.
I consider myself a person that would like fidelity to a source. However, it doesn't have to be slavishly faithful. I would just like the characters to be written, acted and directed like the characters. I think if the studios ( yeah, my finger's pointed to Fox and WB movies) would actually allow that to happen, the movies would be better and better received. In my opinion, this is why Marvel has had the successes they've had in both their films and TV shows. The characters are very well represented. BvS had Wonder Woman as the most faithful in that movie. Superman shouldn't even have been called Superman he was so far off the mark. Batman was VERY close, but when he killed those dudes, that put him over the line. Killing the badguys is what we, in the real world, would do. Superheroes are supposed to be above that. They are what we aspire to.
WB and DC's shows they have on TV are a much better product than their movies have been. And they are closer to what the characters actually are. I don't think that's coincidence.

I am not a big faithful to the source guy (and when you're adapting actual stories I like a little deviation) but at the same time it's not unreasonable for fans to have strong attachments to characters, nor is it unreasonable to expect artists to accommodate that to a point. Remember, suicide squad or BvS or whatever is happening precisely because the artist/studio WANTS to be able to capitalize on that affection and commitment. It's not like Zach Snyder or David Ayer or whoever created original characters for these movies. You can't trade off of people's attachments and then complain that they are allowing those attachments to influence their reactions.
The Gareth Edwards stuff with Rogue One is a bit different only insofar as he is telling an original story with original characters in an existing universe.
