Re: Movie: Arrival (Amy Adams)
I did not care for Prisoners. But whatever. Sicario looked fantastic. I look forward to finally checking that out. And this looks awesome.
Saw the trailer again last night during the Olypmics. My wife LOVED the trailer too. First thing she said was, "I'm so fucking glad they're giving Amy Adams something to actually do again. She's amazing."
Can't wait to check this out.

The full trailer + the dumbest hashtag campaign since #AnswerTheCall (which, to be fair, was only last month)

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Obviously it was changed for marketing purposes. Chiang chiang!tragabigzanda wrote:As a fan of the film genre, I am super fucking excited for this. As a lover of the original short story, I am super disappointed in this already. I can't recommend that story, and the entire collection of Chiang's, highly enough.

Man, oh man! I'm still super excited. But I didn't need a trailer to show me that much. Whatever.

I'm going to a preview of this on Tuesday. My pal works for these film companies. He tells me the trailer is entirely misleading. But won't say why.
Excited to see it.
